I did not find the people to be friendly. No one would even speak with me; it was like I was from another planet. I even took secular Buddhist courses at one place. No results. I tried meditating at home but it made me feel lonely and again, few   if any  results. I have a nice Buddhist library in my home but reading the books just puts me to sleep.
